How it works
The difference is the count of calendar days from the earlier date to the later one (end date exclusive in the day count). The calendar breakdown subtracts year, month and day separately, borrowing real month lengths; the business-day figure counts Monday–Friday days inclusive of both endpoints, excluding nothing else.
Frequently asked questions
Is the end date included in the count?
The headline day count runs from start to end exclusively, so Jan 1 → Jan 2 is 1 day. The business-day figure counts both endpoints inclusively — the two conventions are labelled in the result.
What if the dates are in the wrong order?
Nothing breaks — the calculator swaps them automatically and always returns a positive count.
Do public holidays affect the result?
No. Calendar days include weekends; business days exclude weekends only, because public holidays differ by country.
